Tangless Screw Locking Coil Threaded Insert

Helisert tangless threaded inserts/Screw Locking Tangless Insert provide permanent, wear-resistant Tangless Screw-Locking Inserts that completely eliminate the need for tang break-off and retrieval.

One, or more, of the coils in the insert have a series of straight segments. Upon entry of the bolt these straight segments are flexed outwardly, creating pressure on the bolt. This pressure is applied between the flanks of the bolt thread so that contact area is maximized and unit pressure is minimized.
